The process part of the sulfuric acid plant consists of the following sections: sulfur melting section, sulfur burning and conversion section, dry absorption section, and finished product section. This process is widely used in chemical, fertilizer, metallurgy, and other industries due to its high efficiency, environmental protection, and stable operation.

Process Flow
The production line consists of four main sections:
- Sulfur Melting
- Solid sulfur is melted in a rapid melting tank and filtered to remove impurities.
- The molten sulfur is stored in a 400-ton storage tank and kept at 135–145°C using steam heating.
- All pipelines, pumps, and tanks are steam-jacketed and insulated to maintain fluidity.
- Sulfur Combustion & Conversion
- Molten sulfur is sprayed into a combustion furnace, where it reacts with dried air to generate SO₂ (10%).
- The gas passes through a multi-stage catalytic converter, increasing SO₂ conversion efficiency to ≥99.8%.
- Heat from the reaction is recovered to generate superheated steam, improving energy efficiency.
- Unreacted SO₂ in tail gas is minimized through dual-absorption technology.
- Drying & Absorption
- 98% sulfuric acid is used to dry the incoming air and absorb SO₃.
- A three-tower, two-tank system ensures stable acid circulation and minimizes SO₂ emissions.
- Acid pipelines are made of 304 stainless steel with anodic protection for durability.
- Final Product Handling
- The final 98% sulfuric acid is cooled, measured, and stored in 1,000-ton acid storage tanks.
- An alkali scrubber ensures minimal SO₂ emissions during startup, meeting environmental regulations.
